Here is a short explanation of some of the activities listed above:

Morning Meeting: We will greet each other, have a chance to share, talk about our upcoming day/schedule, and review information such as weather, calendar, etc.

Small Group: Students will be split up into 2-3 different groups and they will work at the table with an adult on different skills/activities (ex: literacy skills, math skills, fine motor skills, etc.)

Work Time: Our preschools use the HighScope Curriculum which is child lead learning. Students have an opportunity to make a plan each day of where they want to “work” (play). Options include the block area, dramatic play area, book area, toys/manipulatives, art/discovery area, computer, or writing center. During this time the adults in the room, interact with the students on their level and join in with what they are interested in at the time in order to work on different skills.

Large Group: Students will all be together on the rug for a variety of activities (ex: interactive reading, movement songs, nursery rhymes, and maybe even some yoga!)
